Hey there! Happy Monday…not so fun day! It’s not long until Valentine’s Day, and as I was throwing up a few decorations this weekend in celebration…a little late, yes, I know…but I’m not opposed to ‘love’ stuff up year round so there is never really a ‘too late’ for this! That means it’s not too late for you to make this too and leave it up all year long as well! And, if you read this quickly you can have it made and hung on your wall in a matter of minutes! LOL!
HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!! I have been gone for what seems like an eternity! I will start by saying I am so sorry, I feel horrible for not posting for months! It has been all CA. RA. ZY. in the Troell house! LOL! Anyway, I am back today and hopefully never gone that long again! I hate that I didn’t get to post anything for Christmas and I had some really great craft ideas to share…so don’t think it’s weird if you randomly see a craft that you think should have been posted around Christmas…I may not be able to wait until NEXT Christmas to post it! HA!
This project is dear to my heart because we are renting right now and if you have ever rented you know how that goes…your inner decorating goddess is screaming at the top of her lungs about things that make her insanely crazy because she hates them but yet can’t change them because…well, your just renting and it is not your home! LOL!!! Well, that has been going on in me for a LOOOOOOONG time, but this last weekend I tackled one of these problems! I built this faux barn door to divide the rooms!
Hey there! Sorry I have been away for so long! I thought with my little one going off to Kindergarten I would have so much time on my hands, but as it turns out, I very rarely seem to be able to find time to build or craft, let alone blog about it afterwards!! Lol! In my very little spare time, my sister and I have also been busy planning my grandparents a surprise 60th Anniversary party…yea I know, 60 years, how DID they do it? Maybe I can have my Grandmother do a post on her tricks of staying married that long because boy, I sure could use some advice in that department…heck we all probably could…AMIRIGHT! HAHA!!
So as a very quick, simple and inexpensive décor idea for the dinner table, we made these plain wood boxes and dressed them up with some nice fake flowers! Since my sister and I were planning the party together, she and even my dad joined in making the boxes…simplest project ever and I get the most help from my family…that figures…haha!
Hello Again Friends!!! I’m back with a new project for you all! This one is a little easier and quicker to make than the last! In my son’s room we had a problem with finding a place for his books, his room is tee-tiny and with a twin bed, dresser, nightstand, and small chair he is ALL out of floor space! We settled on the idea of something to hold books that could be wall mounted and hold just a few books that are on his level right now and we could house his other books on a shelf in another room! I had seen a wood and wire wall hanging basket at PBteen and loved it, but it had four baskets and was WAY too long for the small space we have available even on the wall in his tiny room! So of course I figured that I could make a smaller version to fit his space!
Here is my version!
Hello Everyone! I am super excited to bring you my very FIRST POST EVER!!! Hopefully not my last! LOL! This DIY knockoff Restoration Hardware wood and steel console table is so special to me because not only is the tutorial my very first post, but also it is my first build that I designed the plans for myself! I have built many things with the help of Shanty-2-Chic or Ana White but this was the first time I saw a table I liked, I drew it out, came up with a shopping list and a cut list- all by myself! I still can’t believe I actually DID it and without even wasting any wood! Ha! Surprise Surprise!!!
